On Dec. 10, shift into the holiday spirit with holiday activities and neighborhood-wide luminary displays.
Wyoming is kicking off the 2022 holiday season with its annual Holiday Celebration event and Light Up Wyoming, both being held Dec. 10, 2022, from 6–8 p.m.
At the Holiday Celebration, residents and visitors alike can enjoy several free holiday experiences throughout town. Start by taking a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village, with pickup points at the Village Green and Wyoming Civic Center. Head to the Village Green gazebo to visit with Santa, then stroll along Wyoming Avenue for ice carving, holiday music and shopping, visits with live reindeer, and hot chocolate. Back at the Civic Center, enjoy live music from Wyoming Middle School and High School students, as well as a libation from the bar.
Light Up Wyoming is taking place the same evening. This longstanding tradition in the Wyoming community serves as a primary fundraiser for the Joint Women’s Collaborative (JWC). Residents purchase luminary kits in advance and light them on the evening of the event, creating an “unbroken circle of light” throughout the City of Wyoming. This fundraiser helps JWC support several local causes through grant funding.
