On October 27, 2022, the Wyoming Community Foundation hosted an official ribbon cutting for the Crescent Park Universally Accessible Playground. This project has been in the works for several years now, and through fundraising and hosting a Community Build in August, the playground has become a reality.
During the ribbon cutting, two community members who were heavily involved in the effort, Mary Gaffey and Megan Anderson, spoke about how much the project means to them. Vice Mayor Sarah Stankorb-Taylor read the official proclamation from the City about the playground.
To officially open the playground, children in attendance ran through a set of streamers. It was a wonderful night for the community to come together to celebrate this accomplishment.
