Madcap Puppets, a nationally recognized puppet theater group based in Westwood, will perform a free, highly interactive show at the Village Green Gazebo on Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m.
Community members of all ages are invited to watch Madcap’s legendary giant puppet cast perform the group’s original production, The Story Quest. “My kids love watching Madcap Puppet shows,” says Denise Litter, mom of Audrey, 10, and Everett, 7. “It’s fun to see the details of the puppets, the variety, and the set design, which really adds special elements to the performance. It’s wonderful that we can enjoy them right here in Wyoming.”
The Story Quest recounts the tale of Everett Hickenbottom, royal storyteller to the queen. After spinning 999 tales in as many nights, Everett has run out of ideas—and he needs help! The Madcap puppets will look to the audience to help Everett come up with one final, magical story to impress the queen.
“The Story Quest is one of my favorite shows to perform because there is so much audience interaction,” says Dylan Shelton, Artistic Director for Madcap Puppets. “There are three fabulous folk tales featuring giant puppets in this hilarious show.”
