In May and June, Patina at Home in the Village Business District will team with Jackie Barnes Design, also a Wyoming-based small business, to offer a special pop-up shop featuring creative ideas for your home called More Than Pretty.

Barnes and Patty Pfahler, owner of Patina, have organized a unique shopping experience that combines their talents in home design and furniture restoration to offer one-of-a-kind ideas for your living space. In addition to the new items in the store, the duo will also host several events to help you generate ideas or even create some unique items yourself with how-to sessions.

Jackie Barnes Design was launched by Barnes out of her home here in Wyoming. She offers design services that cater to her client’s individual styles. Her background in psychology and human behavior prior to starting her business, gives her a distinctive eye when it comes to designing spaces that make people feel comfortable, she says.

Patina at Home is a labor of love for 20-year Wyoming resident Pfahler. She offers a carefully curated selection of goods that delivers the delicate balance of design where put-together never crosses over into stuffy or over done. There are items for daily living – from plants and artisan-made pots to breadboards and other house ware goods – plus jewelry and gift items like candles and collectables. She also offers custom painting for furniture that needs a facelift, and the store is usually full of inspiration from finished pieces, many offered for sale.
