For many years families came to the doctor’s offices at the corner of Cooper and Crescent Avenue; soon, homes for seven families will rise on the site.

Traditions Building Group plans to build seven single-family homes on the site of the former Wyoming Family Practice as part of their City Series. “Wyoming is the essence of a City Series project”, said Doug Hinger, president of Traditions Building Group, and a Wyoming resident. “It has all of the ideal characteristics we look for, highly walkable location, near a vibrant neighborhood district and a strong sense of community. And Wyoming Schools are second to none. It’s a great place to live.”

The old building has already been demolished, and site preparation is under way, but final plans are still being developed, says Megan Statt Blake, Community Development Director for the City of Wyoming. “The Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals previously approved the subdivision of the property and the setbacks of the future homes,” she says. “We are actively reviewing engineering plans covering storm water management and utility connections.”

Traditions Group purchased the property this year, after the City approved their proposal to infill the vacant property with new homes.

The residences will feature two-story floor plans with about 2000 square feet of living space and will include a variety of materials and styles in keeping with the neighborhood.
