Celebrating the Fourth of July this year was challenging. Due to the coronavirus, the City of Wyoming cancelled the annual parade, music and festivities, and the Muddy Pig. The Independence Day fireworks fortunately prevailed.
The City encouraged Wyoming residents to practice social distancing and watch the nighttime fireworks display from their front yards or from several designated outdoor public spaces.
Instead of congregating at Oak Park for an up-close view of the fireworks show, residents viewed the display from the Village Green, North Park, the Spring Valley Bank parking lot, or the Wyoming High School turf field.
