Roughly 200 people gathered in Oak Park on June 19 to listen to local leaders, youth, and community members speak about racial injustice and promote solidarity.

Speakers included current students and recent graduates of Wyoming High School and pastors from Friendship United Methodist Church and Ascension & Holy Trinity Church. The vigil was organized by Wyoming Community in Action to provide words of encouragement and inspiration, and featured a period of silence, when participants knelt to honor George Floyd, a recent victim of police violence.
