Wyoming bookstore and meeting space Book Blvd. will host a series of authors open to the public in the coming months.
“We have authors lined up for reading, discussing, and signing books,” said Book Blvd.’s Tonya Mitchell. “Everything from adult thrillers to a Holocaust memoir to a young adult fantasy/sci-fi series.” The first event features Cincinnati author Melissa W. Hunter and her historical fiction/memoir, “What She Lost.” The discussion and signing begins at 2 pm Saturday, February 22.
“We want to foster reading in the community,” says Mitchell, “As well as support local authors.”
Future events include Dayton author Mindee Arnett’s YA fantasy series “Onyx and Ivory” on March 21, and the darkly funny thriller “The Other Mrs. Miller” with author Allison Dixon on April 11. An optional writing workshop will also be held following the March 21 program. Details can be found on the Book Blvd. Facebook page. While these events are open to all, space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Book Blvd. opened a year ago, offering used books and cozy meeting spaces in the brightly lit rooms over Sight Eyewear and Eyecare on Wyoming Avenue. To learn more about the shop and its membership benefits, visit their Facebook page or their website.
