The Wyoming Farmers’ Market celebrates its twelfth year with a new location at the south parking lot at Friendship United Methodist Church, 1025 Springfield Pike, at the corner of Springfield Pike and Fleming Road. Every Tuesday afternoon, 4:00-7:00 pm, Wyoming residents can buy fresh produce, meat, and eggs from organic farmers as well as fresh bread, jams, soaps, and pizza baked at the market in a wood-fired oven.
The vendors had expressed interest in moving to Springfield Pike to draw more customers, and the new location offers more parking. The 4:00 start time allows the farmers a bit more time tending to their crops prior to harvesting for customers.
The farmers’ market meets every Tuesday through October 16, rain or shine.
