No one wants to be the last to know when there’s something important going on. If you want to stay informed about urgent breaking news in Wyoming, the best source is the City’s new emergency communications tool Nixle.
This service replaces the CodeRED system used in past years, says Police Chief Rusty Herzog. There are several reasons the City switched. Nixle offers the option of receiving text messages, emails or social media alerts. For those who still want a phone call, that’s an option, too. In addition, old alerts will be posted on the City’s website, WyomingOhio.gov, for those who want to view them.
To sign up for the new service, send a text to 888-777 and type “Wyoming.” You can also sign up via WyomingOhio.gov. Look for the special tab near the bottom of the home page.
