Wyoming High School was awarded a gold medal and ranked No. 2 among high schools in Ohio by U.S.News & World Report in its 2017 awards to the top high schools in the country. Schools are rated each year based on student performance, graduation rates and college readiness.

Out of more than 6,000 high schools receiving medals, only 2.4 percent are awarded gold medals, based on college readiness. Wyoming was cited for a 91 percent participation rate in AP coursework, and was given a score of 84.2 on the college readiness index in the ranking. Nationally, Wyoming was ranked at No. 95 among public high schools rated.

Wyoming City School District is regularly recognized at the state and national level for academic excellence, including rankings in US News & World Report and The Washington Post.  It has also been recognized in the Cincinnati Enquirer as one of the “Best Places to Work” for the last two years.
